A polo shirt is a form of shirt with a collar, a placket neckline with two or three buttons, and an optional pocket. Polo shirts are usually short sleeved; they were used by polo players originally in India in 1859 and in Great Britain during the 1920s.
Polo shirts are usually made of knitted cotton (rather than woven cloth), usually a piqué knit, or less commonly an interlock knit (the latter used frequently, though not exclusively, with pima cotton polos), or using other fibers such as silk, merino wool, synthetic fibers, or blends of natural and synthetic fibers. A dress-length version of the shirt is called a polo dress.
Selecting work socks sounds like it should be easy. Just pick something that won’t get you reported to Human Resources, right? That’s definitely a good Rule #1—don’t get yourself fired by wearing your favorite pair of novelty R-rated socks to the office. Your co-workers and your Happy Hour crew may not have the same sense of humor.
You wouldn't think there'd be a lot to learn about underwear — wear it, change it, wash it, repeat — but there's actually more than most men think. And whether guys choose boxers, briefs, or live to go commando, chances are, underwear rarely gets a second thought.
As a results, many men lack “underwear etiquette,” says Gregory D. Albert, MD, a physician in Delray Beach, Fla. “Underwear most importantly needs to be changed frequently and always remain clean, and I need to tell you, be discarded when they are thread-bare or stained,” he stresses.
In most early civilizations, sandals were the most common footwear, however, a few early cultures had more substantial shoes. But shoes in ancient—and even not so ancient—civilizations had some major design differences than their modern-day counterparts. In fact, as late as the 1850s, most shoes were constructed on absolutely straight lasts (foot-shaped forms on which shoes were constructed and repaired), which meant that the right and the left shoes were pretty much the same. On the upside, that would make them interchangeable. On the downside, they were likely a lot less comfortable.
Nike has gone off on many tangents with the Dunk, applying simple material swaps/additions such as the recently revealed Dunk “Toasty” options as well as the women’s exclusive Dunk High Rebel. Gently returning to its home base is this upcoming Nike Dunk Low with cracked leather overlays in silver, giving the shimmering tone a bit of a weathered and worn look. It’s quite possible that those overlays could flake off and reveal another color beneath, although past Nike releases with the same materials didn’t quite have that feature.
